Parts cars are good and bad. Now
you can go down to your field and pull anything in a short time.
You have everything in stock as it were. But … you are always putting
old parts in your car, and your car stays old. All your labor is
kind of wasted but you save money and time. Obviously some parts
like body panels don’t matter. But brake drums and starter motors
are more dubious. Screws and spring are wonderful to pull in emergencies.
You can get a heater switch and core, a window, but the tranny might scream
after all that work pulling it and putting it in.
